ART visits the Secret Street of Norwich

| September 9, 2019

Aylsham Round Table had fascinating tour of the historic basement and undercroft lying beneath the KindaKafe.

Our tour led by a local storyteller and historian Lisa Willet took us down two flights of stairs to explore the layers of architecture dating from the 15 century. Hidden below Castle Meadow, between the market and the Norman Keep, we discovered the past of our Fine City, with its trades, houses and people, pondering the myths of eerie prison cells, hidden streets and curious tunnels.

Seventeen tablers and guests, including Area Chairman Joel Keeble joined us for this great night and after the tour we continued the fellowship and fun at Turtle Bay. In addition several potential members came along and from the video you will see how much they enjoyed the beer and the banter
